"IPositif" is defined as:

Understanding what the online safety issues are: chat danger, porn hijacking, spam, viruses and hoaxes, collection of personal information, inaccurate information, race and hate propaganda sites.

Awareness and positive use of Internet information and technology to prevent the above focus areas to achieve an ethical and professional knowledge-based society.

The Internet has transformed the way many children and young people communicate, learn and interact. With a wealth of creative content, the Internet can be a positive resource, offering exciting opportunities at home and in the classroom. Yet the web can also have hidden dangeri.

IPositif program is focusing on four key areas:

Access: promoting access to the internet highlighting quality content
Awareness: helping children and parents to acquire net literacy skills and stay safe online.
Protection: protecting children from being exploited on-line and providing vital co-ordination between international organizations working to protect children
Policy: providing advice to all sectors and working to develop effective international policy relating to safe use of intenet
